Nme - A Summer Tuesday (feat. Marlo UNKommon)

Woke up got up near 11 o'clock
Butt naked except I was wearing my socks
And that's cool cause most the time this floor is cold
Stand and up stretch peep the clock and say bet

Open up the window first to get a breath that's fresh
Hearing the birds and the sirens mingle together and mesh
Peep the sky and thank the most high for keeping me blessed
Smoke and brush my teeth right before I dip out the res

My kicks hit the ave as the pulleta man pass
I throw his ass a nod as I twist around and laugh
The sun is bright and the day is up for grabs
Soon as I pass up Center Ave these fools damn crash

Keepin it pushin while I'm mobbin and groovin
Hopin the 31 is on time and don't come with no bullshit
Who am I kiddin
I'm goin wit the breeze like D. Dumile
You never know when it's DOOMS DAY
So enjoy this summer Tuesday

Summer Tuesday

Pull the cord and jump off right at my stop
Twist and shout baby's bout to be the first spot
I browse a little bit before I cop the latest drop
Say peace to the homie Danny before I leave the shop

I love the way the birds and the smell of the leaves
Always seem to permeate from these cap hill trees
All the shops open, the smell of food, the people
And the breeze are all signs that summers is in full swing

Bout to take the free mall ride down the block
I hop off and see Robot Mike was chillin at my stop
I smile and reminisce as I watch him pop lock
Before I toss a dollar and head to get some tacos spot

Slide up into Illegal Pete's
I see the tacos homie, I'm bout take 3
Chicken, salsa, cheese, lettuce, with sour cream
Oh And can I get extra on that last one please?

After I finish up and satisfy the need
I'm right back out onto these Queen City streets
And nothin quite like that mile high heat
And if you don't like it you can just leave

Before you fix ya mouth to talk shit about my habitat
Realize you ain't never left where you average at
But it don't matter cause its still not doomsday
All in all gotta say it was lovely summer Tuesday
