Upon the hills and within the forests
Is where our story begins
A small village the people call "Dunwich"
Lying within Western Massachusetts
Centuries and centuries of dark magick
Is said to taint these lands
Leading up to 1928 when something called
"The Horror" swept through to challenge man
Cursed is this town
Vile energy seeps up from the ground
A strange family known for
Rituals performed in a circle of stones

With the name, "Yog-Sothoth"
An offering grown for the outer gods
Waits silently and patiently
Brooding in the dark
Never to be seen
Until the time is right
The Dunwich Horror waits and feeds

1913, Lavinia Whateley gave birth to a son, named Wilbur
A strange, deformed, goatish looking boy
Old Man Whateley , grandfather of Wilbur
Was known as a Wizard for his deep knowledge of
The occult and supposed satanic practice.
After WIlbur's birth, Old Whateley bought more cattle
But mysteriously the number never grew
Cattle corpses found outside the Whateley's farm
Drained of blood and covered in puss filled sores
Strange renovations were competed to the Whateley's house
Along with passers by complaining of
A terrible smell emitting from within
Candles lit
Ritual begins
To this cosmic Godhead
Incense, salt and water
Incantations to shake the dead
"Hear me! King of Infinite Space
Son of Chaos and The Void
Lord of the Labyrinth
Opener of the Way
Yog-Sothoth knows the gate
