It grips you by the neck, so tight to the point where you are breathless
Stomach hurting, and sick cause it's caused anxiousness
It gives a gut-wrenching feeling when it shows its ugly head
It paralyzes you to the point where you've eventually stop living life altogether
Wondering why you haven't moved ahead
Stopping you on the track and destroying the plans you've prepared
You wanna move but its got you too scared
Every time you make a move, there it is staring you in the face
Whispering, you know you can't escape
You belong in this place
Just the thought of taking steps makes you sick to ya stomach
So now you're running, gunning
And hiding in its uncomfortable comfort
You find a little courage to take some steps
But you never kicked it out ya mind and now it's got you feeling regret
You had your life mapped out, knew what you wanted to do
But you never accomplished anything
Because your life has been consumed by this mindset you decided to accept
It has become your best friend you go to bed, work and school with it
Faith, hope and courage
You can see yourself quickly losing it
100 Percent of ya mind consumed with foolishness
You can see ya Life, talents and ideas being thrown away
And the person in the mirror is the one whose doing it
See, fear is basically a self-inflicted disease
It murders your dreams
Not realizing you've become a puppet controlled by its strings
It controls your every move
You start playing by its rules
Ball is in your court, it's in your hands but you'd rather not shoot

Why won't you shoot?
What are you afraid of?
Don't you know that fear is cast out by His perfect love?
Freedom is a mindset
Think about all the time spent
Being stuck in a box allowing fear to dissect
Your courage, bravery and ambition
You are a child of God, fear is no competition
Tell yourself, I am free, I am brave
The price for my freedom is already paid
Brake them shackles and come up out them chains
No longer be fears slave
Take that step, even if you have to do it afraid

No more procrastinating
Destroy that negative picture you've been painting
