De Le' Bouch El' - Be Careful That You Do Not Devour One Another

I guess what we have here is a failure to communicate
Failure to cohabit-ATE
Ever since we had to sacrifice for the whole community's sake
Children of humanity at the blood alter
To appease our imagination of a God that balances the odds
Odd, how God would control, initiate, or ordain
Famine, and war, and bloodshed, and natural disasters, and plagues
Odd, how our interaction between ourselves is left up to the fates
We've been putting our own necks to the blade
So much pain, how could we refuse to hate?
We have to have a deity, entity, or some side to blame other than the human race
Ostracize by social distinctions
And neglect to venerate our cultural distinctions
Our agriculture of what we bring to the table from our landscape
And what our native hands have made
Enslaving the population for a better life
That's dog-gone dog eat dog
Murdering someone for another to stay alive
That's an eye for an eye
What we have here is not a systemic issue
But a catastrophic disuse
As accusers and slanders steal, kill, and destroy
And we consistently conscientiously choose to pray for and bless you
The problem of how we survive is we're not content with our estate
We love conflict, killing in the name of with rage
So strike us on the other cheek
Take our lives
And leave our heritage to fend for herself
By the dunes of pharaohs
Fields of scarecrows
Paved over with blood-soaked sentiments and sediments
While your reward is your power and wealth
Our inheritance is with the meek and humble, the lowly in heart
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
Stephen, Cornelius, and Saul
Jesus of Nazareth the Christ desires mercy and not sacrifice for us all.
