New Rationals - A Montage of Entendres

It was all intentional, so I wrote this down
A montage of entendres, and tried to figure them out
Cause there were always double meanings, that were always tongue in cheek
There were whispers of line crossing, the read between
So why would I believe your eyes
Rolling around in your disguise
Nothing is ever as it seems
Those are these days
And it was so irrational, doing laps of my home town
Like there's where we went to high-school
Look there's where we first made out
There was a montage of entendres, still just b-roll in my head
You know I'm not like in like with you
Yeah right
So why would I believe your eyes
Rolling around in your disguise
Nothing is ever as it seems
Those are these days
Those are these days
Those are these days
These days
Oh yeah
Is it to late
Are we too late
If we had it when we were older, would it work then
But I guess we'll never know now
And I guess that's the beauty of it
And it was so predictable, how everything would end
And that montage of entendres would start all over again
Cause everybody's got dirty laundry
And some skeletons love to dance
Oh I coulda, I woulda, I shoulda
Or maybe I did
You know I did
Deep down you know I did
Deep down you know I did
And I always will
So why would I believe my eyes
Scrolling around on this device
Nothing is ever as it seems
Those are these days
Those are these days
Those are these days
These days
