Fall in Green - Empathy With Daisies

Narcissus runs his fingers through his long dark hair
Readying to peer
His reflection in nature's mirror reveals
An ache to kiss his own lips
An ideal partner
Yet he also saw himself as all

He is art

He is the flowering Eden background
He is the perfume from rubbed rosemary
He is a bone buried in a tomb
He is the grit underfoot
He is a child's frown
He is Jupiter and Venus colliding
He is a language, a rule, a ruby's glint
He is night scent, a blackbird's staccato song
He is the belt of Orion, an orange sun
He is all

His empathy with daisies and their petalled hair
Innocent and full of medicinals, like him, they need the sun to strengthen their stem
His internal negotiation
Surrendering space for
A creative energy of self sufficiency

He has lost the boundaries of his own I
