The Garland Pool - Muse

Pause at the top of the staircase my lady
Your elegance in full bloom
Please allow me to christen the scene
With a poem I wrote for you

May the sea of astonished eyes
Gasp when they see what I'll do
Handcrafted words from the finest of clouds
Decorate my love for you

You are my real life muse
Cupid fired an arrow through
And the manner
Which I'll make it know to you
Will leave the cherubs
Jaw on the ground as the witnesses swoon
Swoon

You inspire in me
Such poetry
I'm in awe of what we say and do
With every word
Every kiss and touch
My cabaletta is you
May the rest of our years
Go slowly by
And all of our dreams come true
May we stir the wind
And make such a fuss
Might the world be jealous of me and you

You are my real life muse
Cupid fired an arrow through
And the manner
Which I'll make it know to you
Will leave the cherubs
Jaw on the ground as the witnesses swoon
Swoon

Can I kiss your cuticles
Caress your bare feet
Undress your wildest dreams
And pollinate them with me
I need physical poetry
You're like a songbird
Unique in all the world
You mirror my own heartbeat

Pause at the top of the staircase my lady
Your elegance in full bloom
Please allow me to christen the scene
With a poem I wrote for you
