Heart of Life Worship, poems of grace - Dying To Live

His majesty overwhelms me
The King who didn't stay on His throne
But chose to be broken and emptied
Just so He could call me His own
He's made the change, I can't remain
My guilt has been erased
The old is gone, it can't go on
Now that I became
Dead to sin, alive in Him
It's only by His grace
My sin is nailed, the cross prevailed
I'll never be the same
I'm giving up on this life
The sin and the shame
For the promise of freedom in Jesus' name
Forsaking this world
And the death that it brings
I'm leaving it all in the grave
Yes, I'm leaving it all in the grave
'Cause I'm dying to live
I take up my cross to follow
With more than my mouth, I believe
I choose to be broken and emptied
Till the world knows Jesus is King
He's made the change, I can't remain
My guilt has been erased
The old is gone, it can't go on
Now that I became
Dead to sin, alive in Him
It's only by His grace
My sin is nailed, the cross prevailed
I'll never be the same
I'm giving up on this life
The sin and the shame
For the promise of freedom in Jesus' name
Forsaking this world
And the death that it brings
I'm leaving it all in the grave
Yes, I'm leaving it all in the grave
'Cause You are better, You are stronger
You have given me new life
You are greater, what a Savior
You are giving me new life
I'm giving up on this life
The sin and the shame
For the promise of freedom in Jesus' name
Forsaking this world
And the death that it brings
I'm leaving it all in the grave
Yes, I'm leaving it all in the grave
'Cause I'm dying to live
