TV Dinners - When Will I Know

I was scrolling through old pictures
To see how my features had changed
See if I was going to be losing my good looks with age

I was driving through New York State
With PA plates
Looking forward to seeing my mates
To try to fit four years into two days

When will I know
If I'm doing something right
I wish that somebody would shine a light
On me
So I can seek a remedy

Found an old gift
From a girl I was in love with
For a few weeks in junior high
Thought "I'm gonna love her 'til the day I die"

So I was so upset
When she broke it off
After all that we'd been through
Like holding hands and kissing a few times too

When will I know
If I'm doing something right
I wish that somebody would shine a light
On me
So I can seek a remedy

I remember
The first september
I went away to school
I was eager to leave so soon
And soon enough I wish I could return

I'm ready to move on
But I'm gonna miss this place when I'm gone
That's the way it's always been
And I think it's gonna be that way again

When will I know
If I'm doing something right
I wish that somebody would shine a light
On me
So I can seek a remedy

When will I know
If I'm doing something right
I wish that somebody would shine a light
On me
So I can seek a remedy
