Quinton Cook - 4 : 03

It's 3am, there's a battle in my head and a weight on my chest
So I pick up a pen and try to write another melancholy note again
But my thoughts are like sirens in the city
That come and go and echo through the streets
When the sound fades, slowly dissipates
I come back to reality. It's already 4:03
Dawn breaks and I unwillingly go and procrastinate
Maybe I'll watch a cartoon but the power dies as I walk in the room
So I sit and stare blankly at the TV screen, and pictures start appearing on the Tube
And just as I'm about to pen it down, my phone gives a shout
So please tell me why, I can't write a song tonight
My mind's between you and all the things my life seems to be going through
And all I want to say is
Baby I love you
So I get up, I get dressed, I get ready, for a night on the town
We meet, we dance, we sing, decide to get lost until we are found
And at the end of the night I'll take you home
And I'll sing you one of my silly songs
Please tell me why, I can't write a song tonight
My thought's are consumed by strategic plans of how to spend more time with you
Cause Baby
I love you
