Lil Fytr - Allegiance

I pledge allegiance
To the flag
Of the United States of America
And to the republic for which it stands
One nation under God
Indivisible
With liberty and justice for all

Yeah, you heard me right, I be submitted to my country
Cuz God said in 1 Peter 2- "submit to those who lead"
In government offices in your land - so see
If I chose to rebel I would be guilty of sinning
So the words of this song shouldn't be thrown in my face
Cuz I rap for revival-get outta my face
Save your mace, take your place, get ready for a race
Cuz this song seeks to remind people of their place
Whether you pledge "under God" or refuse to do it
You are under God-even Nebuchadnezzar knew it
So it is a waste of time for me to try to prove it
What you need to do is believe it-choose it
Cuz judgment is coming and not cuz we've fallen
From our place as a Christian nation-that's false
The church is the only Christian nation-enter the halls
And heed the words of Him who calls
You might call me a meddler, you might call me annoying
But I'm just fulfilling my calling
Seeking the good of the nation to which I'm belonging
A synonym for allegiance is loyalty
So call me a meddler, call me annoying
But I pledge allegiance to the nation where God placed me
I'm an exile--Jeremiah 29:7
So I pledge allegiance to the nation where God placed me
But I say the pledge cuz I live within its borders
Not the old bookstore-but the one outta order
The one needing walls up so we can sorta
Try and show that we really aren't immigrant supporters
Even though this whole country was built by immigrants man
Like go back far enough and because of a militant land
Your ancestors fled here for peace from pestilant famine
So stop faking your power-I'll call you ant man
Now don't get it twisted-I ain't saying illegals are cool
But I am sayin that a wall ain't the answer like school
A wall screams: "we are better than the likes of you"
But we're all equal-isn't the Declaration true?
So we all need saving; all need freedom; we all need love
And the only place we'll find it is from Him who's above
And that ain't the president-it's the King of the earth
Jesus Christ-Yeshua Messiah-the last and first
You might call me a meddler, you might call me annoying
But I'm just fulfilling my calling
Seeking the good of the nation to which I'm belonging
A synonym for allegiance is loyalty
So call me a meddler, call me annoying
But I pledge allegiance to the nation where God placed me
I'm an exile--Jeremiah 29:7
So I pledge allegiance to the nation where God placed me
So I say the pledge cuz my King says to submit
To the kings of the earth until sin asked to commit
So immigration might be whack and murder legal to commit
As long as the victim is too tiny to protest-infants
But I'm not being forced to do that and neither are you
So why do you disobey God-acting a fool
By stubbornly acting like the kids in our high schools
too spoiled and defiant-refuse to pledge too
I won't even get started on our education system
But the band called it right-it's down-I'm on a mission
To pump truth and life into culture like a piston
And I know you'll hate it but if so then home it's hittin
But until I leave I'm supporting my homeland
By praying for the leaders-whether woman or man
And by showing my support in simple forms
And if I move overseas-to a new nation I'll be sworn
You might call me a meddler, you might call me annoying
But I'm just fulfilling my calling
Seeking the good of the nation to which I'm belonging
A synonym for allegiance is loyalty
So call me a meddler, call me annoying
But I pledge allegiance to the nation where God placed me
I'm an exile--Jeremiah 29:7
So I pledge allegiance to the nation where God placed me
My name is lil fytr so I'm in this fight to win
And it's not against people - it's a fight against sin
And when I pledge allegiance this is part of what I mean
Cuz loyalty to a nation is seeking its blessing
When God promises judgment on account of sin
To not stand against racism, divorce, lust, abortion
And injustices galore is to be guilty of treason
Please think logically - God gave you reason
So when it comes to voting November 2020
Know that with the most allegiant option my vote will be
So they can't be all talk - hypocrisy
They need to be active - consistency
You can't make America great again
You can't keep it great either - it's condemned
So where is hope found? - the one who was suspended
In the air for six hours on a cross - look to Him! (Jesus)
