Spider Cues - Almost Home

Struck eleven, halfway couldn’t tell,
It’s all the same in my eyes,
Commonplace in sanction rings through fall,

Just another sleepless toss and turn,
Recount this curse unbroken,
And count me out in favor of the dusk,

I lick these wounds out of tendency,
It keeps me grounded, through all I’ve doubted,
And held you close for the company,
As the sirens sound in reckless abandon,
It comes and goes as a hope I’m almost home,

Open silence springs a still forefront,
I turn to you, the standard,
And shed my second nature in the slums,

Broken line of sight I drift astray,
The frames refrained perfection,
Was edging ever closer to the truth,

The plane extends far as I can see,
It keeps me grounded, through all I ‘ve doubted,
Still held you close for the company,
As the sirens sound in reckless abandon,
We made amends of the shattered glass,
In apportioned reason, the sum of seasons,
It came and went, now I’m all out on my own,
