Mommy Pants - Angels and Dinosaurs

To Man
Best thing your religion taught me
Is to at least try to love unconditionally
If you can't then you're just human
And you're forgiven if you believe
What if I love yet keep another belief
What if I barely love, yet we agree

Your clan believe in one higher degree
Yet have denominations, different theology
Why is there a need to protect
A god who not always protects
Then his will's at least half selfish
Is he not perfect just like all of us

Are we made in his image
Or do we make him in ours
A picture he is in our heads
To help us get more far
Further we think we are
Grass and dirt below our knees
Praying here to beyond stars

To God
If my free will asks for help to believe
Then can you make it make sense for me
If your will is the opposite
Then you're not real or hard to interpret
Maybe you're there but not seen
And it's your choice to not intervene

We'll never know your ways
We're preys designed to give praise
Can you answer my points from previous letters
To you, myself or any others
Will you give me a place of comfort
One I don't find on my own terms

To Me
What there might be
Is more than beyond me
I know not much
I barely know me

The way we each see is different
Even within one creed
The master mind our mind designs
Based upon the parts we read
