Christian Simpson - Anyone Else?
I’ve been sitting on my computer in my closet making beats
Lyrically crafting while I’m sitting at home, quarantined
It would be so easy to just sit and watch Netflix all day
But that wouldn’t let these thoughts in my brain find a valid escape
So I take up crafting, synchronizing, all this tweaking, got me hiding
In my room everyday, forget to pull up my shades when I
Wake up at noon, too tired to move
Got stuff to do but no deadlines there to make me to
Does anyone else out there feel crazy?
Does anyone else out there feel insane?
I keep trying to fight the lazy
But maybe I’ll push that to another day
Does anyone else out there feel lonely?
Does anyone else out there feel left out?
I keep trying to connect through a screen
It’s still not what true connection’s all about
Getting used to all these video calls, stuck in these four walls
Every meeting’s online, who knew that Zoom would rule the world for a while
13 hours on a screen, man my eyes are really killing me
I gotta get off this thing, even YouTube has grown dull to me
And that’s a problem cuz I usually watch like 6 videos a day
But now I’m just scrolling having watched everything and still not entertained
Detained in my room, chained to my desk is really bugging my extrovert self
But now my musical side has finally done more than just collect dust on a shelf
Does anyone else out there feel crazy?
Does anyone else out there feel insane?
I keep trying to fight the lazy
But maybe I’ll push that to another day
Does anyone else out there feel lonely?
Does anyone else out there feel left out?
I keep trying to connect through a screen
It’s still not what true connection’s all about
