Autumn morning, just another day
How things can change in inconceivable ways
And memories will be carved in collective minds

Remembering back, it seems like yesterday
With foresight things would be different that day
We know the reasons, but we can't understand why

I can't believe my eyes
Pictures of faraway buildings and far away lives
Seems so vivid in the camera eye
I can't begin to understand, to comprehend where this will end
Will things ever be the same again

Autumn morning, not a cloud in the sky
Would lead to shattered dreams and shattered lives
The root of evil would choose to flower on this morning

Building our world from a diminishing seed
Led to faraway lands to quench insatiable needs
No thoughts of tomorrow and what it could mean for our children
