I'm barely making it
I been feeling so much pressure lately
And its mostly from myself
I think I'm faking it
And it started to taking tolls
On my soul and my goals and my health
Bad habits greet me every morning like a demon serving breakfast in bed on a tray
I got the schedule laid out
But I tolerate delay
And instead of getting up and running with my day
Instead of making a priority to pray
I'm pushing all the most important things away
Like faith
Like reading, like working out
Like a morning walk even when its pouring out
I feel a lot of people asking for my time
Doesn't help I'm the introverted type
Lately I been going in with all my guys
And honestly music feel like work half the time
Its so hard for me to write a punchline
Or even verbalize what happens in my life
In the dark its not hard to see the light
But the dawn looks far from the night
I'm praying God gives me strength in the fight
I'm praying God gives me strength for the climb
Telling me to dig deep just to reach a new height
