Jordan Dunn - Believe

Man! This last year has been absolutely insane
Like I have undergone so much growth personally and musically
It's incredible, to think where I was and where I am now
It's mind blowing

Gather round, let me tell you something really quick
I'm really grateful that you listen to the words I spit
Had no idea I'd make memories feeling that bad
Didn't mean to make an impact
But now I'm glad I had
Yeah September 6 was fine
But it never got me gassed
I treat the record like the subject
Leave it in the past
I often wonder where I'd be without the tracks
Would the show go on? Or would I be gone before the next act?
What would I do if I hadn't picked up the pen and pad?
Or if I didn't make use of this god given talent
I would just be another statistic, I'm being realistic with you
inner demons had me that's that
What would I do if I hadn't of made it this far?
I've come a long way from pain and a broken heart
Knowing my music can help others is so bizarre
Cos I've been doing this to help myself from the very start

Cos if you told me
You'd know my story if you hit play
Yeah, If you told me
I'd be a somebody one day
I wouldn't Believe you, no
I wouldn't believe
I wouldn't believe you, no
I wouldn't believe
Cos if you told me
You'd know my story if you hit play

Many people want money but won't put in the work
If I want something, best believe I'll go and get it first
I show love to people that go and leave me hurt
But I believe in sweet vengeance, call that just desserts
I don't expect you to pay me to have me on a verse
I don't believe that greed belongs with me on the earth
I've fallen down a couples times, but I spit out the dirt
Got my plan mapped out but still I like to search
See I plan for me to keep all of my humility
Cos being in the industry can have you feeling weak
Obviously if this is a dream imma chose to stay asleep
But trust in me to always preach
That love is never out of reach
See god's given me a couple things
He gave me life and a voice, that's why I rap and sing
It's not impossible to be anything that you dream
You just gotta let your mind breath, preach

Cos if you told me
You'd know my story if you hit play
Yeah, If you told me
I'd be a somebody one day
I wouldn't Believe you, no
I wouldn't believe
I wouldn't believe you, no
I wouldn't believe
Cos if you told me
You'd know my story if you hit play

Believe, I wouldn't believe
Believe, I wouldn't believe you
Believe, I wouldn't believe
Believe, I wouldn't believe you

I started off with nothing then I turned that into something
I had my head in the clouds but now the storm is coming
I was limping from the pain but now I'm up a running
It's cause you all believed in me I ain't even bluffing

Cos if you told me
You'd know my story if you hit play
Yeah, If you told me
I'd be a somebody one day
I wouldn't Believe you, no
I wouldn't believe
I wouldn't believe you, no
I wouldn't believe
Cos if you told me
You'd know my story if you hit play
