Somewhere in the universe life must be waiting for us
If only we had a clue, a sign, a light to guide us
In the darkness surrounding us blindly we seek
Somewhere there is, somewhere will be
In the great unknown
We seek, we wonder, questions on our minds
The mysteries of birth, the beginning of it all is
Sacred, unhallowed, are we here alone
The children of the void, we are the children of the stars
How far can we see, how far can we search
Is there another sun, an earth, a livable place
Staring back in time to stars being born
Where might life thrive, where can life exist
In the great unknown
We seek, we wonder, questions on our minds
The mysteries of birth, the beginning of it all is
Sacred, unhallowed, are we here alone
The children of the void, we are the children of the stars
Creatures of the darkness, creatures of the light
Born on planets or born on meteorites
We know nothing we are blindly seeking for clues
But every answer gives another question mark
