What is this thing
That came down from the sky
it isn't a meteorite
Or anything we could make
Do not be afraid
We do not mean you harm
We have been watching earth
But an engine fail forced us down
Could we stay awhile and we'll soon be on our way
We came here in peace to observe and to learn
Just let us repair our ship and let us find some fuel
But please we don't want your kind to know that we are here
You can stay here until you can go back home
Maybe I can help you to get back on your way
I can tell you stories that you otherwise wouldn't have seen
Perhaps you can tell me stories about your history too
That we can do while we are mending the ship
We have much to tell that you wouldn't believe
Our paths have been crossed before and this time won't be the last
More of that I will tell you after you tell us all about your kind
