The Facades - Deal With the Devil

When the devil met the Thin Man
It was near to perfect black
The sky was filled with thunderclouds
And sudden lightning cracks
As midnight struck upon the eve
The Thin Man made to speak, but the
Devil put a finger to his lips
And said these words I'll now repeat

Now little boy
You're my toy soldier like
No one ever was, in light of this
Don't resist my gifts of gratitude
Don't fight it dude
I've got a deal that'll make you feel
Like a regular demigod
The updated contract's in your hand
I'm sure your host will understand
Old Scratch has your best interests in mind
So why won't you just go ahead and sign

Now the Thin Man knew the Devil well
And knew his wicked game
But the Thin Man played his own as well
As part of his shared brain
One look at the contract, it was
Shredded in the dirt
And the Thin Man looked at Satan with
His eyes aflame to give some just desserts

So Lucifer, you're still a filthy hack
I'm never coming back
After you've given me no reason
I may have loved your power then but
I've surpassed it to ascend
Your sympathetic words are out of season
I've got a team, they're my regime and you're
Nowhere near a god
The Facades have checked your little plan
Our host realized they aren't a fan
I'm the one they trust to be so driven
I'm proud to be the story's villain
Spiteful words that make a killing
Don't come back, sincerely, the Thin Man

Now Satan is a clever man who
Knows when he's been beat
But to his favorite customer he can't
Turn the other cheek
"Now listen here tall dark and mean
I'll have you back again, like
Flies to vinegar your rage just
Draws me back in." But the
Thin Man shot back twice as hard, the
Same rage in his veins. "Now
Lucifer don't tempt me to
Become the latest Cain. I'm a
Force of wickedness but there are
Rules I must obey, I'm not
Here to try and kill my host
From within my everlasting cage"

While the Thin Man talked to the Prince of Sin
Zyote figured out a way to butt back in
Glitchtech turned the Devil down, while Aces Wild grinned, they said
"Thin Man, we're all back now, and we're making sure we'll win"
So the Thin Man saw what the Devil never knew
The Facades will always have his back if he would have theirs too
From the parties through depression weeks, his seat at the table will be
Waiting when he wants to make a deal, with the angels
