I thought no one knew what's best for me but me, and I was wrong

Because I wanted to fit in, around these people who were just like me
But we were similar for reasons that I could not see
We all were broken, and lost, and we had our feelings bottled up
But I was comfortable pretending so I stayed covered up
I felt entitled, felt like I was the King of the world
If no one would have my back, then I promised to have myself
But then my mama sent me off to a camp for a week at church
I gave Him another call, and my call was finally returned
And it was real this time
He paid the price
He came then died
I don't deserve a single thing in life
But He sacrificed
Everything He had to give
And I ain't had nothing in return but a whole bag of sins
