Will be bald and have a beard"
My mom said, she never found him
Cause my Dad - who'd won her hand
Was clean shaven had a head full of hair
That bald man never had a chance!
Do we convince ourselves there's magic?
Or is there a Destiny?
Does love happen for a reason?
Or do we find a way to believe?
My Mom loved serendipity
When she met my dad she knew
She threw the dice at fate and won
And she said it can happen to you!
When my wife - then my fiancée
My mom had told me "She's the one!"
I asked "Is it written in the stars?"
But I was only making fun

Look at all the homeless hearts
Seeking refuge from the dark
Some never feel love's truth

My folks sent us a Christmas card
And the photo seemed kind of weird
There's Mom smiling like an angel and
Dad is bald now and has a beard!
