Truth Among Ashes - Elephant Forest

Beautiful giants walking home in the pouring rain
After a long, long day
They drink from a river that's been flowing long before their blood
And eat the fruit from ancient trees
So graceful and elusive, despite their incredible size
There's so much we don't know
Hunted to near extinction, population critical
Not even half a million left
Elephant forest
It's not the same without you here
To call it home
Those tusks of ivory
They paint a target on your face
And I can't stand it
Into the forest of giants
We enter with our guns
And we begin the hunt
Killing the beautiful giants
Haven't they had enough?
There's hardly any left
The vicious villains violating the vast verdant forests
So vile and vulgar
Their guns vociferous, they erase vestiges of a species
That's slowly drifting to the void
Elephant forest
It's not the same without you here
To call it home
Those tusks of ivory
They paint a target on your face
And I can't stand it
Into the forest of giants
We enter with our guns
And we begin the hunt
Killing the beautiful giants
Haven't they had enough?
There's hardly any left
In the great forest we are
Not digging graves today
The lives we're taking are in vain
Our only goal here right now
Is to strip the land from all it's beings
Who contain rare resources
That's not the sound of falling trees
The intelligent giants
Don't know why they are killed
But still they know that they will die
We're running out of targets
But we have ammunition
Enough to make them go extinct
Elephant forest
It's not the same without you here
To call it home
Those tusks of ivory
They paint a target on your face
And I can't stand it
Into the forest of giants
We enter with our guns
And we begin the hunt
Killing the beautiful giants
Haven't they had enough?
There's hardly any left
