War Wolfe X - Eleventh Hour
A war that's been fought going for four years
Was supposed to be over in weeks
I think the ones in charge miscalculated
The suffering that's been unleashed
It's a war of attrition both sides are wearing down
I'm talking about the endless dead figures
The allied powers though have an ace up their sleeves
The United States is fresh and full of vigor
I think this war has gone on too long
The Germans running out of resources
There finding it hard to to field anymore men
The high command grows desperate losing focus
See too many men from too many lands
Have been shipped away to die in foreign soil
This war has gone too long I think their longing for peace
In every country fighting to staying loyal
Yea they left by horse and by train
And they marched out feeling somewhat hopeful
But as the years passed that hope was swallowed up
But the nature of a war that is total
On the ground in the seas and even in the air
Many met their fates so brutal
It's a war that really didn't need to be fought
But it's too late to turn back resisting futile
The people in many countries are suffering starving
Living off of wartime rations
And nowhere is it felt harder than in Germany
The people victim to their wartime machinations
Hindenburg and Lundendorf still cling to victory
But after Passchendaele that isn't wise
But they can't be seen surrendering the fight
So they pass it to the state amid lies
I think this war has gone on too long
The Russians and the Germans find peace
After the Russian revolution no longer wish to fight
A war for the nobles there's no need
So the Germans now believe they can renew their efforts
Despite the US declaring war
And their soldiers being fresh and ready for a fight
What to expect from them no one really knows
But the Germans lack the men to really hold the lines
Lundendorf sees this is the end
He advises the Chancellor and Kaiser Wilhelm
To accept the peace terms that they send
President Wilson of america proposed 14 points
Including given up lands occupied
Lundendorf had second thoughts but it's too late
The end is near Germany must recognize
Revolution all throughout the world
Has led to the setting of fires
From this war a whole generation has been lost
Fighting for the sake of Empires
They want peace desperately whole villages in ruins
The guns will fall silent in these days
The people who lived through this will long remember from the countless
Monuments and graves
After fighting all across the globe between many nations
The German delegation has arrived
To sign the Armistice silencing the guns
On the eleventh month day and time
The hope is now for peace that'll long endure
A treaty will be drafted and signed
At the palace of Versailles but Ironically
This peace will lead to another war
Down the line
But for now the guns fall silent
Even though their silent don't forget about the dead
Even though the guns are silent
Don't forget about the legacy they left
All the battlefields fade into memory
A new world from the ashes we will gain
But let us not forget about the ones who are lost
To the end
They remain
To the end they remain
To the end they remain
To the end they remain
