I can hear the sonnet in my head
I try to let you in
The mind goes numb
Staring blindly at the sun again
I don't know why the music's gone
The lyrics dwell inside
Rhyme and rhythm lost again
Apollo send your muse
To find some soul
Emotion deceives the words escaping me
I've come to find, we all look up
But the song dwells inside
Take me away tonight with thoughts of pure elation
Everything we know and love, just a figment of imagination
And this enlightened ecstasy shines bright the light that sets us free

Oh I'll take this poem to my grave
Because the greatest piece of art is the one sung from your heart
Forever I'll let these lyrics dwell inside of me
At trying times and in peace of mind, my story never dies
