Point Mass - Erubones

This foolish indecision
The proctor of the mind
Belief in higher power
That could transcend space and time
They fight to reach the heavens
Yet end up in the ground
Lay root to fruitless worship
Despair is all that's found

They cannot see it coming
They cannot understand
The fire that they've started
That signals the fall of man
And yet it burns so brightly
Consume, degenerate
I feel it call
I will not hesitate

I reach out into the light that left me long ago
Embraced by Mother Earth
It drains my soul
I give sweat and blood to nourish the Tree of Life
That stands above us all
It will not fall

Although it stands before me
In its transcendent form
I fear it will not guide me
It will not mend what's torn
An overwhelming presence
A pressure from on high
The power of the righteous
A faith that will not die

Its shadow growing darker as I look within
A greed that overcomes them, so filled with sin
A lie that's spreading out of control
A price to pay, that is my very soul

I reach out to the hand of salvation
It takes all I have
Blinded by the brilliant light
The shadows grow deeper behind me

I reach out into the light that left me long ago
Embraced by Mother Earth
It drains my soul
I give sweat and blood to nourish the Tree of Life
That stands above us all
It will not fall
