The Final Clause of Tacitus - Figureheads of Speech

Taking time to reconsider
The only other words that I can deliver
Everything that I know is fake
Cos right now, it's all at stake
If we stop the lies and are honest
It won't kill me, and it won't make me stronger
If I back down, then it's no longer
I don't believe in what they say
So, it can't insult me
Easy to fold and forget
Harder to forgive and not regret
Time can't heal what you took away

It's the, world they
Don't get me, but I won't regret it
If you let me then I won't forget it

Focussing on facts and not lies
Learning from the past and I
Can only make myself an island, come on it?
Trying not to be the last to come off it
Even if it means you have to go
Admit to yourself, you just don't know
Purge the rest to be the best
Finding it hard to just be fake
In a world that appreciates
The ones that imitate
So, I stop, re-set, and incorporate

It's the, world they
Don't get me, but I won't regret it
If you let me then I won't forget it
