Walk of Faith - Forgiveness Is a Prayer Away

I remember Sunday mornings back when I was a child
Dad would wake us early and we would walk that gravel mile
My jeans were full of patches from all the chores I had done
But mama always told me it's what's inside of you son

Cause I 'd heard those old bible stories time and time again
How I needed Jesus to wash away my sins
And I remember that old preacher just like it was yesterday
Crying from the pulpit forgiveness is a prayer away

The years passed and so did mama and I strayed from that old church
I put my faith in worldly things that just didn't work
I pulled out mamma's bible with the faith of a mustard seed
And found a folded page that she had left for me

Cause I 'd heard those old bible stories time and time again
How I needed Jesus to wash away my sins
And I remember that old preacher just like it was yesterday
Crying from the pulpit forgiveness is a prayer away

On my knees I fell crying out Lord give me one more chance
I don't believe I got here just by circumstance

Cause I 'd heard those old bible stories time and time again
How I needed Jesus to wash away my sins
And I remember that old preacher just like it was yesterday
Crying from the pulpit forgiveness is a prayer away
