Matthew C. - Frustrated

I tell it how it is now how it might be
Still thanking God for all the time they've instead in me
Yeah all this grind I know it's who I was destined to be
Every record released It's a blessing to see
Taking time to make sure that a message is found
Had to put my album down to develop the sound
I watch the world shift the devils been making his rounds
Disguised by people systematically breaking us down
And I don't how to handle it In a land of injustice
That we spent centuries managing
We spent centuries damaging
While learning distrust for our own people
Mamed by police but claimed to be treated equal
Shit don't be making sense
It be so vivid to see and they're still going circumvent
All the blatant attacks
Talk no white on white but push black on black
A trick from the oppressor as a way to suppress the fact
That were under constant attack our women aren't safe in spaces
Comment sections with ignorance like confederates wasn't racists
The kkk still hiding their faces
Cause they're your everyday people gotta play it the safest
Watching this unification of our kind round the nation
Is what we need to keep the pressure
On the changes that we need in place
And This is the time to take it
Mass incarceration plus the miseducation
Access to the banking
Just a few to start us off
A change of heart may never come we need a change of laws
Seeing a lot of donations I hope they help the cause
But even then we goin' still have us some problems to solve
Seein a lot of awareness about future elections
But remember to always do a thorough inspection of the candidates
No more promises you gotta legislate
Country built from hate it was never great
