Beem Fya Leo - God, Why? (Spoken Word)

I sit and wonder like, "God, why?"

My reasoning can't determine a reason
The light of the world came down to re-son this planet of repulsive retching wretches wrapped in sin
Because the sun wasn't enough light, the Son came up to enlighten blind eyes: cross-eyed

I wonder about why those who wander about are loved despite our revolt against the wondrous King's rule
When in we each "me" rose up
He filled his hands with our filth
Perfection amongst perversion prioritizing our well being

Well, being in the the well of broken beings
He reversed Joseph on us
Drew us up out of the well like He drew us up in the beginning: with His words
Then bought us not to sell us but save us with the beautiful colors of love in bruises and piercings, tears and tears, Water and blood
They coat us

He accepted the rejects when we rejected Him
Proclaimed as the promised Messiah, as protector and provider He's a professional

He claimed us as His own because our lives we do not own
His love for those lost on (this) very earth weighed so heavy it led him to stay
When he could have taken off
He instead took on our transgressions
Traversing willingly the path his Father willed
He knew that he would die, yet he didn't write a will because this Testament didn't end there
If it did our hope would be less
More correctly we would be left hopeless and not right

But taking our wrong, the righteous Christ killed death
Rising, resurrected, presenting himself, present before his friends, the present of his presence continues into the Present

Now attaining salvation is not simply an idea to entertain
Adoption through his blood from the holes in his hands makes us wholly whole in the Holy One
We were crafted in His image that reflection upon Him and relationship with Him will establish a reflection of Him in our relationships
Interaction with Him in turn turns us in interaction with others to act as He did

Realizing the reality that intimidation doesn't bring resolution
Humility prevents humiliation
Abusing authority doesn't make us leaders
Rather learning to submit to the ultimate Authority
Not bowing before the American Idols that surround
Identifying our identity indefinitely in Christ
That when bare we may bear fruit

Sweetening and enriching the lives of the poor and rich around us
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-control
Learning to let the LORD have control

Then in serving the least of these the least of we serve the King
Shining the light of the sol of this system

So, when I ask God why
He declares it's for His glory
