The Wandering Wolfsta - Growin' up as a Youngin'

Growin' up as a youngin' I never had shit
Constantly moving around trying to find our spirit
Broccoli, mince and bread on the potbelly nightly
A wobbly household drunken step dad shit
Mom and dad had split brothers and sisters spread apart
Damn I felt so unwanted
An oddity in a house lacking love
I became a hermit seeking approval from a father figure
Learning to shape-shift always people pleasing
Shifting thru unlit hallways - avoiding being seen
Giving away my power for a little acceptance
Legit turning into a counterfeit what a hypocrite
My real daddy would visit, yearly he'd make it
I get the struggle mother keep fighting that fight
Stick wit-it and don't quit last minute
Stand in your dignity and harvest that fresh fruit
Much has been taken from you en-route I
Salute you for the things you've had to sacrifice
So thank you for the love you've given me

I know this world is harsh
Filled with snakes and sharks
Often it's a Long tunnel ahead
And fuck its so bleak and dark
It sure ain't no walk in the park
But we gotta find the warrior within
And strive to Ignite that spark

Hes all grown up now, still tending these wounds
Inside a heart broken child standing strong
On the outside looking in you'll see
The black sheep all alone and distant
In the distance keeping his distance
He doesn't know who to trust
Those around him never seen
The battles he fights within his noggin
Wondering what they thought of him
Hes desperate to find some connection
Determined to succeed and be free
He'd rather be off climbing up a tree
He's so carefree but still he earns rupees
Confronting those demons its agony
It's hard work feeling that degree of debris
He cannot foresee or even guarantee a end in sight
He's doing quite alright
Still in the fight writing his story's of light
At midnight looking up at the night-sky
Wondering why he had to incarnate right
He's got the foresight and might but sometimes
He just wants to combust back into stardust
Feet firm on the crust he's cussed but
Fuck he's robust enough to keep
Thrusting onwards and upwards

Yeah life may give you a bad hand of cards
But it's on you how you play them
Our difficult circumstances always provide
Something to learn and grow from
So stop playing the victim card
And start being empowered
Life wont get any easier
But you become so much stronger
In the process of the game of life
