Durrdiss - Harmony

Scarlet ruby become my heart
And beat like an animal encased in stone
My one falling star wish is to be warm
To turn this puppet body into something real
Wooden joints entwined by wires
And bags of air so I can breathe
With hair of sawdust and eyes of glass
I run in perfect harmony
A subtle glance, a longing gaze
Embrace within our love for days
A ring of crystals and cherry gold
From someone I can hold
But all these splinters harm those I adore
Release me from this wooden corpse
I want to be much more
A ballet dancer of swanborne feathers
An opera singer drowning in harmony
Or a mother of nature tormented by howling
As she discovers her love is a dream
I dream of an evening draped in silk
Where I wear a dress fashioned with opal stones
And the entire ballroom falls silent for me
As I twirl around in a bolero of stars
Then I wake to the beating of my ruby heart
A scabby dress of spider webs and sooty old buttons
Strings, release me
Make me into flesh
In exchange I'll give my heart to live
With eyes that see the truth
