Anti-Social Club - Junk Culture

There is no 7-Eleven in the Garden of Eden
No parking lots full of SUVs in Paradise
The strip mall at the Wailing Wall is closed on Saturdays
The liquor stores in Medina have shut their doors

The Wal-Mart greeter gives a smile as he hands out his stickers
The statue of Ronald McDonald makes the burgers taste fine
The lottery winners bought their boats and mansions and fancy cars
And now they're all standing around at the back of the line

We paved the forests by crushing the mountains
We lost our innocence at the video store
We started sliding sideways through an ocean of plastic
And now we're all rolling backwards in our Radio Flyers

The traffic jam on the beltway is causing some tension
The D.J. rambles from his ivory radio tower
The spray-painted slogan catches eyes from its perch on the underpass
The billboard says a cheap motel is up ahead on the right

We've got our amusement parks and our OBX stickers
We're often tongue-tied by the National Enquirer
We like our powdered lemonade and our Cartoon Network
And we watch the world go by in a box for four hours a day

We paved the forests with the crumbling mountains
We gained ambivalence at the video store
We dipped down deep below into an ocean of plastic
And now we're all rolling backwards in our Radio Flyers
