Jill Lorean - Kneading

She had sugar on her shoes and flour on her cheeks
Her hands were often cracked and sometimes they would bleed
She gathered all the grain and measured out the yeast
cnd she began to knead and knead and knead

She wrote a couple tunes on an old accordian
cnd broke a couple hearts whenever she would sing them
cnd some folk even said she looked like Judy Garland
But when she clicked her heels she was still on the same cold island

cnd sometime in her youth she cycled to the country
cnd there she met a man and started up a family
cnd he would write her poems and listen to her singing
But one day his heart just stopped and she went back to kneading

Now Frances Ethel Gumm is lighting up the stage
cnd fighting off the crowds and gathering accolades
But what about the girl who looked like Judy Garland
Well she sits on a stool and kneads on the same cold island

cnd what about the girl who looked like Judy Garland?
Well she sits on a stool and kneads and kneads and kneads
