Toxic Poisn - LESSONS

Life is easy but damn shit's getting scarier
With no real stakes, my niggas is vegetarian
And I mapped it out
But I act like I ain't never had plans
That shit fell right through
It's getting harder to stand lately
As for the future, it is out of your hands
Our only goal is seeing what it may hold
Cigarettes and perfume irritating my nose
The smell of girls rushing to grow
It's crushing my soul
But I see it and use it to get inspired
My niggas is getting high
Because they ain't getting hired
My mother is always tired but never wanna retire
The capitalism system is burning out all her tyres
But she don't know nothing else
Can't blame her for chasing wealth
Can only hope
That the next generation can chase ourselves
To end the identity crisis we've been having for ages
Life is a novel and we're just on different pages
I feel like the wealthy think they have made it
And shift our vision to think the same
Somebody told me life is a game with no rules
So it never mattered the way you play it
And this shit is completely unrelated
I just gotta get it off my chest because I hate it
Just because you're older than me, don't mean you're better
Judging on my lines
And the cadence that I create to portray my frustration
Too many niggas in music can't do it the way I do it
And think it's okay to coach
I use this shit therapeutic still
Poisn's better than most
When I moved to horizon view
Thought I'd have a view of the coast
If you know you know it's a joke
Pause for the cause
If you see life as a prison then death is the prison yard
If you see life as a shopping spree death is the charge
For some people it's a race but I see this life as a walk
And this project is introspective
The shit I've come past but never found the direction
Said I wanna find a way to meet my grandfather in heaven
Sometimes stars are just satellites in the heavens pretending
Lessons
