Miles Keep - Little Train

I know it’s late
I should have called
Ma worries about everything
It’s hard when i’m far
I hold my cards
In good and bad
Pa hopes I find better things
Than he ever had
The weight on my shoulders
Ain't always that bad
But there’s times I
Think Im off without another hand
When I was a kid
I would run till it’s dark
Now i’m up before the sun
To take on the world
How in the world could this little train
Take me so far in a day
How in the world do the little things
Take so much time, I’m afraid
When it’s done
Done
Now its all
So up to me
Life's giving me lemons
But I can’t always reach
Pa would say
Another day
With patience you’ll find
They’ll be down by your feet
Now that I’m older
It’s not that it’s worse
It’s just more complicated
Drinks now make my head hurt
When I was a kid
I would run till it’s dark
Now i’m up before the sun
To take on the world
How in the world could this little train
Take me so far in a day
How in the world do the little things
Take so much time, I’m afraid
When it’s done
Done
