Harry Houlton - Man Without a Heart

He wanted to be a man without a heart
But he couldn't quite start with the cuts that he needed
As hard as he pushed down into his own ribs
He just couldn't make a chip in his skin
Maybe if he found a pretty girl from town she could help plunge the knife deep inside him
With a pretty girl found, he asked her around,
Now they could begin with his fixing
You won't comprehend what went through that boys head
As he passed the blades handle towards her
And he took off his top to reveal a cross he had marked there the previous day
Oh the girl was confused what she needed to do till he said that he deserved a stabbing
And then without a word, she didn't stir she stabbed him before he could say stop
And it flowed out
And he went down
With his body all bloody and sore he refused to accept that he still had a feeling
He got up and he blamed the girls cuts, maybe that wasn't where all his pain had been stored
I couldn't explain how he thought this would change if the girl pushed the knife into his skull,
I guess that was where the pain had originated, and willing as ever the girl mashed it in
His brains flowed out
Oh he went down
I think she was afraid at first when he stayed down, as the brain is an important organ
But he slowly sat up and spoke a few words, a shadow of what he had been
Ah he'd flowed out
Now he was out
