Jonathan Solomon - My True Country

It's beating, I feel my heart beating I feel all the dreaming
Of living with a people trying to emulate Eden
Where difficulties mean another chance to grow closer
The one another's gone be exercised till it's over
Dictatorship belongs to the father, brother Is this milk and honey
Are these people a preview of my true country
Will I say it in public
Will I start to admit that I'm starting to love it
Trust issues dying, a slow death from people who trust in the savior
What is this behavior that makes me feel freedom
My soul is now flooding with waves of affection what am I becoming
It's beating, I feel my heart beating I feel all the dreaming
Of living with a people trying to emulate Eden
Where difficulties mean another chance to grow closer
The one another's gonna be exercised till it's over
Dictatorship belongs to the father, brother Is this milk and honey
Are these people a preview of my true country
Will I say it in public
Will I start to admit that I'm starting to love it
I feel like I'm breathing I want to confess now
I want to be leading I want to be led now
I want to be closer my legs have grown tired
Of running from something the Lord has required
I've seen false dictatorships
That make the land go barren I've been inside the palaces
That only held some brokers for purpose politics and prosperity on the rocks
They help you drink it in and make it sweet like a mimosa
It's hard for me to trust it it's hard for me to lean in
But I know that I need it I know that I need it
In scripture I've seen it the Antioch effect
And the lies of the world and pain I've seen
Have not made me reject that it's beating
I feel my heart beating I feel all the dreaming
Of living with a people trying to emulate Eden
Where difficulties mean another chance to grow closer
The one another's gonna be exercised till it's over
Dictatorship belongs to the father, brother Is this milk and honey
Are these people a preview of my true country
Will I say it in public? Will I start to admit
That I'm starting to love it
