For Peets Sake - Obituary

I wrote your obituary today
Hardest part was trying to summarize your entire life on one page
Huh, I need at least couple
Shit I could write a book
How you provided for the fam did whatever it took
Always confided in the man so now when I look
Into the sky I see you
Life too short, I no longer try I just do
Similar to how you did
With that you set a prime example for your wife and kids
The hardest working man I know
Wish to be at least half of what you were to me to mine when I have my own
Thirty plus years of your blood sweat and tears
Just to keep the lights on when the sun disappeared
I thought we was poor but we were rich was always love in the air
You taught us that when you have that, nothing else can compare
Gone way too soon I try my best to understand
And when I don't get on my knees and leave the rest in Gods hands
And I know mom missing her best friend
I tell her everyday that pass makes it a day closer til the day we meet again
Rest In Peace
