Dave Scott-Morgan - Psalm 139

Oh Lord you have searched me and you know me
You know when I sit and when I rise
You perceive my thoughts from far away
My going out, my coming in
My laying down, my getting up each day
You're familiar with my ways

Long before I speak a word you know it
You hem me in - behind me and before
You have laid your hand upon me
And filled my heart to the brim
Knowledge too wonderful for me to hold
Too high for me to reach.

Where can I go from your spirit
Where can I flee from your side
If I go up into the heavens you are there
If I make my bed inside the depths of darkness and despair
If I rise upon the wings of the dawn
If I settle on the far side of the sea
Even there your hand's guiding me
Even There

And if I say the darkness will hide me
Even then the darkness will not be dark to you
And the night will shine just like the day
For what is darkness but another shade
Of satan's lamp upon the way.
Just another light to you

Where can I go from your spirit
Where can I flee from your side
If I go up into the heavens you are there
If I make my bed inside the depths of darkness and despair
If I rise upon the wings of the dawn
If I settle on the far side of the sea
Even there your hand's guiding me
Even There

Oh Lord you have searched me and you know me
You know when I sit and when I rise
You perceive my thoughts from far away
My going out, my coming in
My laying down, my getting up each day
You're familiar with my ways
