J Magnus - Pulp Fiction

Yeah
Say hello to James, a youngin' just promoted
Income injected too he bout to start balling
Funds came through the company ain't stalling
Hit the boys on the celly you know we rolling tonight
Yeah, tequila shots screaming what a life
Glasses to the ceiling, night's a blur, yeah, what a life
Pretty women and Champaign toasts, what a night
Man I came from the bottom a celebration is only right
Right
Now here is where the plot twists
Glass hits the concrete
Shit to make you nauseous, all over some nonsense
Non sense at it's best, weighing heavy on my chest I had to speak about it
Say hello to Cindy who's never had it easy
Orphaned in college left raising her lil sis
Ain't nothing ever goes right, what sorcery is this?
But she had to make it for her and Kim
They needed this
I know what you're thinking
Get to the point, why the introductions
But give me a minute
You gon' know when their paths cross
See Cindy just graduated with no one to celebrate it
Tears running down her face, she's happy that she finally made it
No more weekend maid, it's off to an office
But she's still waiting on offers or a response from these corporates
It's been a few weeks, it's only a matter of time
Her eyes still filled with hope they'll call in no time
But the food's running low
And deep down man she knows the call ain't coming through
So she gotta make a plan
Gets a young job and no she don't plan on staying
"Headed to the big time" that's what she keep on saying
Hope still alive so you bet that she keep on praying
Soon enough it's gon' change, they gon' start slaying
6 years later no second at all
No hope for herself man all her money is on Kim
Drowning in debt, Kim's college ain't cheap but it's all about to pay off
Tomorrow is graduation
No more scrapping through, job already promised
Everything on order, God really did notice
So let's go out, get some ice-cream or something you know
Let's celebrate
But Cindy feeling funny like something is coming
But she ignores it there's finally some light at the end of the tunnel you know
It's all good
But now
Crazy coincidence is that James got a promotion
Right a day before Kim's college graduation
Wasted as fuck in his whip he don't care life's good
And it's only straight up from here
To top it all off he's talking on the phone doing 100 on a 60
But he's good with the wheel man the kid is kinda gifted
Laughing on the phone he just called home
Says the next time he's coming he's coming in a Rolls
Cindy and Kim on the wrong street at the wrong time
Young nigga can't see em, street ain't even on his mind
He looks up hits the brakes. Tires screech it's too late
Cindy took a step but Kim froze on the spot
Laying on the ground, her body near lifeless
Cindy confused, why is life like this?
And James still in the car he don't know what to do
Bout to lose everything for acting a fool
Now the people taking notice
Crowd's about to close in
Engine still running and if he takes Kim now then maybe there's a chance
Homie just drives away
