Lizzie Loch - Rise

I dared to dream
He dared to fall
She dared to come
To guide him home
For he had forgotten
He was a part of the all

He was chasing power
He was playing games
Monopoly was his claim to fame
Knocking everyone else out of his way
So he could win and pretend to be brave

While, internally, he coward nervously, inside of his cave
Drowning his pain in trophies, and glorified ways
He let vanity take his soul,

He was so empty, they thought he was full
Vacant souls vied for the prize
Not caring about another's demise
Yet pretending to care, to help, to love
Empty dollars donated to those "in need"
But it was all a ploy, of empty greed
Disempowering others, perpetuating "need"

Pretending solutions were really that hard...
"Heroic" documentaries to win the award
Stealing life force, he had them allured
The fashion of a "hero" but naked a fraud
Praised like a god, false light was the facade
People hoped and praised as he fed on their gaze

But that will all change
As people start to change their ways
Seeing through the devious smile and jet planes
The designer suits will no longer disguise the treacherous boots
Of someone addicted to control, and power
Sniff, sniff, it is your soul he wants to devour

But the truth be...

This "power game" is cute, a childish entrapment
For he forgot his divine fruit, and relinquished empowerment
For a need to control creation

Good thing, we can change the station
For their games won't have strength
When one remembers creation within
Like earthquakes they will shatter the sway of his devious grin
Sovereign power restored once again

For "he" is just a child playing pretend
Humanity it is time
To shine and pierce through the lies
Release the cloak that was thrown over your eyes
It is time to see, open wide....

Claim your right, for you are holy and wise
With remembrance, the he within will rise
Guided by her into the sunrise of truth
Revitalized and reorganized, creators it is time...

Rise...
