Filanthropy - space

I'm just drifting through the atmosphere simply floating in the cold
I wish that it was different, but I'm here I guess I'll roll
All the things that have built up, pushed me right on off the edge
Now I'm falling overboard
And my foot just hit the gas

I've been driving fast to run away from all uncertainty
The second I sit in my car
Relief it fills my veins
Liquid heroin in the form of gasoline
I get to choose on where to go
From who to see to where to be I have that choice residing within me

And I know it all just stems from things that happened in the past
With no control thru all these things
No peace with all my enemies
I learned to cope by cutting the rope
If there was a bridge too big to cross
I Just kept my space and stepped away
That leaked into my personal
Started drifting from my friends again
Closing doors behind me so they wouldn't get to see me
Huddle in the corner
Legs are shaking
Praying they don't see me now
Maybe I'll go back when I
Have finished the course
Run the whole race
But until then I stay locked in

I'm just drifting through the atmosphere
Floating in the cold
I wish that it could have been different
But I am here I guess I'll roll
All the things that have built up
Pushed me right on off the edge
Now I stay falling overboard
And my foot can't find the brakes

I just need a break
But I haven't made it yet
So I'll go another day
Another week or month or year
I'll go five more then ten to add
This message needs to reach their head
They're all caught up in lust and drugs
And things that blink and flicker quick
Like the flame from a match
That they watch burn out
No one chases their dreams
No one puts in needed work

They all sit and they sit
Till they fall and they trip
Then they wonder why they only coast
Don't worry I will not boast
I have those days where I feel gray
Apocalypse inside my brain
Just weighing me down
Stop the rain
But on the bright side
I'll be okay
I'll maybe join them
In this space

Said I'll maybe
Join them
In this
Space

We're all drifting through the atmosphere
And floating in the cold
We all wish and pray that it would just change
A different scene of greenery
But we're all here
Pretty nice if you think about it
All the things that have built up
Pushed us right on off the edge
Now we stay falling overboard
And our foot cant find the brakes

Understandable reaction to the actions that had happened
But I can not change the past
Direct it to another path
What has come up and come to pass
Will stay behind
