In the book of second Corinthians
Along about chapter three
Paul writes to the Corinthians
And all of us who believe
He said we don't need letters of commendation
To you or from you to me
Cause ye are our epistle
Written not with stones or ink

Take a look into God's mirror now
And tell me what you see
By his grace you'll see a brand new face
His spirit and liberty
God took the image of his dear son
And wrote it on our hearts
Stop showing the world who you're trying to be
And start showing them who you are

Some folks are busy showing themselves
Not the man in whom God is pleased
The carnal mind is not subject to God's law
It's always at enmity
Now we're declared to be the epistle of Christ
And we're to make all men see
But we're not sufficient of ourselves
God is our sufficiency
