Big Blue Car - T and P

Perched I ran as three and stood divided
And though undecided
I knew the way
Chained I did not see the subterranean
Like a mains powered alien
Who's been sold a key
And brave as say we are
Our language knifed from brittle jar
Is scraped so thickly on stale bread
And words that pour like tea
Are held in cups like memory
Until the mouthy have been fed
Stepping out of the kitchen
Is like stepping off the cold spoon
Into an empty cup, that's stirred too soon
Tied but free to roam, across the border
I simply ignored her
And sat in my place
Keen to see the end as it was just starting
Like Spot from West Harting
I'd chased my own tail
We feel that we are touched
Just like we say that we don't know
And that is something of which we're sure
And better then we are
Are those who spoon from bigger jars
Who make the tea that's been poured
Stepping out of the kitchen
Is like stepping off the cold spoon
Into an empty cup
That's stirred too soon
Stepping out of the kitchen
Is like stepping off the cold spoon
Into an empty cup
That's stirred too soon
Into an empty cup
That's stirred too soon
