Pete Muldoon - The Last Shaman (feat. Raheem DeVaghn)

In our world in the not so distant future...

This is the end
Death to the machine!

The sky is dark and smoky
All is gloom and gray
And all the hopes of mankind
Have since burnt away

Most of the species vanished
Trampled by machines
Those who thrive are more akin
To robots and disease

Human mind is static
With media and apps
Weak flesh supported
On the broken robots' backs

No more lush green forest
No more clean water flows
No more birds and butterflies
No more plants to grow

And now the gears of the great machine
Are slowing to a halt
And all the greedy royals
Have their treasures in a vault

Pestilence did scourge the land
Nations engaged in battle
The last bullets sounded
Society's death rattle

The workers all but vanquished
Only the strong survived
Consumers just stand helpless
As long since their souls have died

A Shaman stands on a high rooftop
Through rain and snow and ash
He stands and watches with a smile
As the beast and Dragon clash

And deep in the long dead forest
A tree grows in acid rain
And deep beneath her awaits all life
To live and reign again
