Renee Cram - Trying

I hit rock bottom but I'm falling further
I kept on fighting but I'm not any stronger
I've got more problems than people to rely on
Got too much damage I can't seem to let go

It's been years since I could call myself happy
Or gone a night without crying
Can't put it all aside to focus on my study
I'm not even trying
I make excuses because I've been through plenty
I'm living but barely
It's not getting easier, I need someone to help me
But I won't let them help me

I can't say it will always be the same
I don't feel I'm capable of change
I don't trust in my recovery yet
My biggest fear is losing happy again

I hit rock bottom but I'm falling further
I kept on fighting but I'm not any stronger
I've got more problems than people to rely on
Got too much damage, I can't seem to let go

I've been experiencing trauma from a young age
There's no chance of escaping
I keep on hurting and it spirals into my rage
The hope in me is fading
Don't think I want someone to rescue me at this stage
So who cares if I'm not sleeping?
I've got too much I need to fix before I'm okay
And my mind is not coping

I can't say it will always be the same
I don't feel I'm capable of change
I don't trust in my recovery yet
My biggest fear is losing happy again

I hit rock bottom but I'm falling further
I kept on fighting but I'm not any stronger
I've got more problems than people to rely on
Got too much damage, I can't seem to let go

I don't trust me yet, I'm losing again
Don't trust me yet, I'm losing
I don't trust me yet, I'm losing again
Don't trust me yet, I'm losing

Life's not over yet, I'm trying again
My life's not over yet, I'm trying

I hit rock bottom but I'm falling further
I kept on fighting but I'm not any stronger
I've got more problems than people to rely on
Got too much damage I can't seem to let go

Life's not over yet, I'm trying again
My life's not over yet, I'm trying
