Rob Willis - What I Love About Her
What I Love About Her
She can bring the halls to laughter
She can open up a heart
She can she can charm down the chickadees
she can dispel all of the dark
She can melt into the shadows
And wait where sorrow stands
Then release a swirl of colors
With the brush stroke of her hands
She can watch the sparrow knowing
Already where it lands
From hours of simply watching there
And that is what I love about her
She has a sword and a trumpet
She doesn't like to use
She has an armload of children
That can come any time they choose
She battle off mythologies
And they cannot refuse
The light of her eyes, even if she doesn't stare
And that is what I love about her
She can calm the storm that rages
She can talk the lions down
She can take them if she wants too
But she doesn't need to now
And in all this she's beautiful
But I am not sure how
She doesn't know it, or perhaps she doesn't care
But that is what I love about her
