My story starts out when I was just a kid
I turned 18 and was loving it
I had to be cool, yes I want to fit in
So I started drinking with all of my friends

As my story goes on I got a little older
I started a job and bought a new house
My drinking continued with out any notice
Till I started getting worried about blackin' out

I got up this morning without a hangover
Cause I went to bed without getting drunk
It seams so simple now that I'm older
Cause my worst day sober, beats my best day
Drunk
I said, my worst day sober, beats my best day
Drunk

My life got worse my troubles were mounting
I thought the bottle was my only friend
As it turned out it was the main problem
That waisted the years and caused all the pain

So here's the truth I lived a lot longer
I guess it's true, "only the good die young"
I did somethings that I wasn't proud off
I made amends for the things I have done
